Work will commence next month on the installation of a new central heating boiler system at St George's Hall, Bewdley, thanks to grant funding provided by FCC Communities Foundation through the Landfill Communities Fund, supported by Severn Waste Services.
The project will replace the Hall's ageing heating infrastructure with a modern, energy-efficient system, helping to secure the future of one of Bewdley's most important community facilities.
The installation works are expected to be completed within approximately one week and have been carefully scheduled to minimise disruption to Hall users and community groups.
Sue Humphries, Vice Chair, for St George's Hall said:
"We are delighted to have reached this important stage of the project. The new heating system represents a major investment in the future of St George's Hall and will help us continue to provide a safe, comfortable and welcoming environment for the many individuals, groups and organisations that use our facilities."
St George's Hall and its Community Café support approximately 80,000 visits each year and provide a vital venue for community activities, arts events, cinema screenings, live music performances and social interaction.
The Trustees would once again like to thank FCC Communities Foundation and Severn Waste Services for making this important project possible and look forward to celebrating its successful completion.
