Kidderminster and District Lions Club has donated £1,000 to St George’s Hall in Bewdley to help refurbish the community café with new flooring.

The acoustically treated flooring will help reduce noise, making the café an even better place to meet friends and enjoy a coffee and toasted tea cake – or have a quiet cup of tea or bowl of soup.

The refurbishment work in the café forms part of a comprehensive project at St. George’s Hall, a popular community hub and venue, which is showing signs of wear after being open seven days a week for the past 13 years.

Jannie Davies, president of the Lions Club, said she and fellow members were pleased to support St George’s Hall, a valued community asset for Bewdley which is owned and operated by a Charitable Company.
